The Healing Ministry

Our focus on healing remains more than the purely physical. Sick people are fragile people. They experience their mortality and human vulnerability in the deepest way. They tell us, time and again, how the care and spirit of our staff gives them hope.

This respect for the human dignity of each patient is echoed in the deep respect we have for the skills and talents of our staff.

In the words of the late Cardinal Bernadin:

“Our distinctive vocation in Christian healthcare is not so much to heal (physical diseases) better or more efficiently than anyone else; it is to bring comfort to people by giving them an experience that will strengthen their confidence in life. The ultimate goal of our care is to give those who are ill… a reason to hope… in this we find the Christian vocation that makes our healthcare truly distinctive.”
