Integrated range of services

ImagePart of the St Vincent’s Campus, St Vincent’s Private Hospital works closely with St Vincent’s Hospital and Sacred Heart to offer an integrated range of services.

Key services include inpatient facilities, day surgery, cardiac catheter suite, endoscopy unit and medical imaging services. Areas in which the Hospital is particularly renowned are cardiac surgery, ENT surgery, orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery and urology.

Services are also provided in the areas of colorectal surgery, dermatology, gastroenterology, gastrointestinal/general surgery, geriatric medicine, immunology, oral surgery and dentistry, pathology and vascular surgery.

As the only hospital in New South Wales to use the da Vinci Robot, St Vincent’s Private continues to be at the forefront of surgical advancements. The da Vinci Surgical System provides the precision and accuracy of conventional open surgery by means of laparoscopic minimally invasive techniques.

Teaching Programs

St Vincent’s Private also participates in teaching programs across the St Vincent’s Campus, including a new graduate support program and continuing education programs. As a teaching hospital, training and ongoing education is provided to medical students in conjunction with the University of New South Wales.

Sisters of Charity Outreach

The Hospital also provides funding for the Sisters of Charity Outreach, which forms part of St Vincent’s Clinic. Sisters of Charity Outreach was established to provide support services to those in need and funding of Outreach forms an important component of the Hospital’s commitment to social accountability.
